Nogalis helps enterprises retire legacy Lawson systems. After our first project together, they came back with a second one: a platform that has to onboard enterprise clients quickly and safely. In September 2026, their Chief Application Architect, Steven Nagata, left a review on Clutch about it. We did not write a word of it, so we let it speak here.
Who Is Nogalis and Who Are Its Clients?
Nogalis is a management and technology consulting firm that helps organizations archive and decommission legacy Lawson applications. It also provides IT and business process services across several industries.
Its clients are enterprises that want to retire an expensive ERP system without losing access to their historical records. Nogalis moves that data into a read-only archive on AWS, and the client stops paying for legacy licenses.
Nogalis is also small. Its Clutch listing shows 11 to 50 employees in Newport Beach, California. That matters for everything below, because the platform has to be run by a small team.
What Did We Do for Nogalis the First Time?
We gave them visibility. In our Nogalis case study, each customer ran in its own AWS account, about 30 in total. The team had almost no way to see what was happening across them.
In three weeks, we built per-customer observability into their deployment pipeline. About 100,000 Lambda invocations are now tracked per month, and incident response became roughly 10 times faster.
Why Did Nogalis Come Back?
Because the first project worked. And because the next goal was a different kind of job.
Nogalis wanted to give a new platform, APIX Bridge, the machinery to onboard real enterprise clients. Here is how Nagata describes the goal:
"The overall objective behind all of this was to take a working application and give it the delivery, security, and operational machinery to onboard real enterprise clients quickly and safely, operated by a small internal team."
— Steven Nagata, Chief Application Architect, Nogalis Inc
In the review, Nagata also explains why Nogalis chose Perfsys over other options. The pricing fit their budget and the value was good for the cost. They also said our company values matched theirs. The engagement started in April 2026 and is ongoing, with 2 to 5 of our teammates involved.

What Changed for Nogalis?
Nagata describes the change in three areas. We added a plain-language line after each one.
How Do Deployments Work Now?
Before, deploying meant hands-on AWS work by whoever knew the environment. Now, every deployment runs as a pipeline with a review step. CloudFormation change sets let you preview what will change before anything is applied, and Nogalis uses them for every change.
"The process is safe enough that we hand pieces of it to non-experts with a runbook."
— Steven Nagata, Chief Application Architect, Nogalis Inc
In plain terms: nothing reaches a client's AWS account without a review first, and the process no longer depends on one expert.
Credentials changed too. Nagata reports that long-lived AWS keys in their delivery tooling went from several to zero. Everything now uses short-lived OIDC credentials, so there are no stored keys to leak or forget.
How Fast Can Nogalis Onboard a New Client?
About half a day of hands-on work. Standing up their full production environment in a brand-new AWS account took roughly 4 to 6 hours of part-time work by their own team. Nagata puts the old way in one line:
"Before this machinery existed, replicating our environment would have taken weeks of hand-built work."
— Steven Nagata, Chief Application Architect, Nogalis Inc
The detail we like most is about the latest client onboarding:
"Our most recent production onboarding has included steps executed by the client's own DevOps engineer following the documentation, with no Perfsys involvement."
— Steven Nagata, Chief Application Architect, Nogalis Inc
That's the goal of any good handover. The documentation does the work, and we step back.
What Does Nogalis See When Something Breaks?
Before, they had almost no central monitoring. Now they have dashboards and per-tenant tracing, so a problem points at its source:
"When something misbehaves, we can see which tenant, component, and deployment revision is causing the issue. Previously, that was archaeology."
— Steven Nagata, Chief Application Architect, Nogalis Inc
The Results at a Glance
Here are the numbers Nogalis chose to share 👇🏻
- 100% of infrastructure changes now pass through a reviewed gate with a recorded evidence file. Before, changes were applied by hand.
- Zero long-lived AWS keys in their delivery tooling, down from several.
- 4 to 6 hours of part-time work to stand up a full production environment in a new AWS account, instead of weeks.
- Half a day of hands-on work to onboard a new client environment.

💡 Pro tip: When you read a partner's reviews, look for numbers the client chose to share and for something the client now does without the vendor. Both are hard to fake. For the wider picture of how we approach delivery, see our guide to DevOps on AWS.
What Does Nogalis Say About Working With Perfsys?
They rate us 5.0 on quality, schedule, cost and willingness to refer. On what stood out most, Nagata writes:
Client Feedback
Perfsys's knowledge about technology and understanding of our needs and services have been impressive.
Steven Nagata
Chief Application Architect, Nogalis Inc
On project management:
"Perfsys's project management has been perfect. They've always delivered during every weekly meeting."
— Steven Nagata, Chief Application Architect, Nogalis Inc
Asked whether we could improve anything, he answered:
"I can't think of anything for Perfsys to improve."
— Steven Nagata, Chief Application Architect, Nogalis Inc
We will take that. Then we will keep looking for something anyway.
Conclusion
Nogalis came to us once for visibility into 30 customer environments. They came back for a platform that onboards enterprise clients in half a day, with every change reviewed and no stored keys. A returning client says more about a partner than any case study we could write ourselves.
If you are building a platform that has to onboard clients on AWS, we would like to hear about it.

FAQ
Nogalis hired Perfsys to build the deployment and delivery infrastructure for APIX Bridge, its multi-tenant ERP archive platform on AWS. The work covers CI/CD pipelines and the security model for each environment. It also includes operational tooling. The engagement started in April 2026 and is ongoing.
About half a day of hands-on work, according to Nogalis. Standing up a full production environment in a new AWS account takes roughly 4 to 6 hours of part-time work, instead of the weeks it would have taken by hand.
